Brad Sheppard,
Owner
Brad grew up in Clemson and received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Architecture from Clemson University in May of 1993. His passion for working on cars started at an early age. Brad was about to get his driver's permit and needed some wheels...BADLY! As a father-son project, Brad and his dad restored a 1964 Ford Fairlane 500. Brad still has his 1964 Fairlane, and the engine he and his father rebuilt is still going strong 36 years later. His love of mechanics and working with his hands led to a career in the automotive repair industry and ultimately to the opening of North Lake Automotive & Tire in the summer of 2009.
Brad is an ASE Master-Certified Automotive Repair Technician with Advanced Level Certifications in Engine Performance and Diesel Repair. Brad has passed the introduction certification for Hybrid and Fully-Electric Vehicles.
Clayton Boozer,
Technician
Clayton is a Columbia native who received his degree in Automotive Technology from Midland's Tech. His extensive automotive career began at Pulliam Ford in 1992 where he continued until 2008, completing many hours of factory training. This was followed by 7 years at Wray Volkswagen and 3 years at Jim Hudson Ford, acquiring many more factory certifications before joining our team at Northlake Automotive.
Clayton's hobbies include vintage cars and motorcycles. He enjoys the outdoors and his one year old black lab, ZuZu.
Craig Layton,
Technician
Craig moved to Chapin in the 5th grade following his father's music career. Having grown up with professionals, music has stuck pretty firm with Craig, taking a big part of his life. Around 18, he began snowboarding in North Carolina, and has gone every year since. Outdoor activities take up most of his time off, along with a few sentimental vehicles that need some love.

After an education in welding from the CATE Center, Craig started repairing vehicles and stayed at a GM dealership for a number of years. Coming from that, it was obvious that he preferred to work at a quality independent shop. That's where Northlake Automotive came into play, being just that in his opinion. Craig has 3 ASE Certifications, well on his way to becoming a Master Technician, and extensive GM factory training.
Dalton Arnett,
Technician
Dalton was born in Dayton, Ohio. He moved to Little Mountain in 2015 and finished high school at Mid-Carolina. Dalton received his Associates in Automotive Technology from Piedmont Tech and is now a valuable member of the Northlake team.

Dalton's hobbies include forging, fishing and cars.
Matt Lehmann,
Service Manager
Matt grew up in Northern Michigan, spending as much time outdoors as possible and developing a passion for hiking, camping and exploring. He moved to Columbia in 2001 for college and received a Bachelor's of Arts from Columbia International University.

He has 12 years of experience in small business management and enjoys problem solving, logistics and caring for customers through intentional and thoughtful customer service. Matt and his family live in Chapin and he is excited about being able to serve his community at Northlake Automotive.

Matt, his wife and 4 kids enjoy day trips to the mountains, nearby state parks and exploring new areas. He spends his leisure time gardening/ landscaping around their home and enjoying time with family and friends.
